Hey Guys!
So the last post got a pretty positive response and I’m glad that a bunch of you liked the personal touch I added to it. They’ll be a lot more of that up on the blog from now on and I hope you’ll enjoy it.
Today’s post is all about yellow and for those who follow me on Instagram (@__littlebutterfly) I shared a snippet of this post in B/W. I’ll be talking a little about being kind to yourself. I’m pretty sure that I’m not the only one who sets really high expectations for themselves and keeps striving to be better. Sometimes however, we forget to give ourselves credit for what we’ve actually accomplished because we’re so occupied with what/who we want to be, we forget how far we’ve already come. We compare ourselves to those around us and forget the saying that comparison is the thief of joy.
“You need to ignore what everyone else is doing and achieving. Your life is about breaking your own limits and outgrowing yourself to live your best life. You are not in competition with anyone else: plan to outdo your past, not other people.”
So today, this is my reminder to be kinder to yourself: be proud of yourself for how far you’ve come. Recognize your growth. Celebrate your growth. Find the yellow: there’s always something to be grateful for and on this particular day, it was ice cream and sunshine.
