WHOLE

Hey Guys,

I hope your November is off to a great start and if it isn’t, there’s still time to make it better. This week’s post will be on poetry and I hope you enjoy reading it. It was inspired by one of the lines from the renown Warsan Shire’s work: “You can’t make homes out of human beings someone should have already told you that.”

This piece is  from a perspective of being complete on your own in order to prevent seeking completion in others.

Today I walked and walked

for hours on end

and I was in so much awe of the moon.

It was beautiful.Complete and whole,

all by itself.

Shining

and without even trying,

we all loved it.

Then I remembered you

and that I was the moon

and I needed to be the moon again:

complete and whole all by itself.

Remember : “Perhaps this is the moment for which you have been created.” Esther 4:14

Love and Light,

Michelle.

  1. Hey, I’ve been reading your blog for the past few days…week.

First of all Thank you for being authentic…consistency in the meaning of a message is the true definition of authenticity.

Do you write poems to make other people understand you or to feel understood?

You should have series like Mapacha twins whereby you have videos talking about the clothes you’re wearing (it’s just a suggestion), or you can also make a YouTube channel. The advantage is that if you get a lot of viewers, companies like Truworths can pay you to wear clothes they make and that will be a plus for you ( free clothes)

What books take you to different worlds? Based on your poem ( Happiness)

Have you also thought of music as an escape route for example people like Kendrick Lamar and Drake really bring you in touch with you’re inner self

My gut tells me you sometimes feel really misunderstood and people don’t fully get who you truly are and it bothers you. However, you probably won’t fully admit to this on a public comment.

Do you have love poems to post? And also poems talking about ethnic differences and racial segregation those would be wonderful to read about.

You have a wonderful platform and I really appreciate what you’re doing.

As for your February 25th post by Beau Taplin “…you’ll meet someone who will become so intergalactic to your life, you’ll put their name in the title.” In your 18 years have you met someone that special or even one who has taken a chapter?

Two minutes of insane courage just to be my neurotic self in front of you

    Burnett

    Light and love, (pun intended)

    1. Hey,
First I’d like to say thank you so much because this has definitely brightened up the rest of my year. Also, thank you for being courageous enough to comment so genuinely and taking time to read through most,if not all, of my blog.

I think to make other people feel understood because I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels the way I do sometimes.

I’ve definitely thought about that before and it is something I’d like to venture into eventually.

I read a lot of Paul Coelho who writes a lot about love but also a lot about religion and self. You should read his work.
Yes I have, I think I mentioned it in the first post I put up on poetry: Alive

Maybe we can talk about this and other things you’d like to on email: michellemmalonza@gmail.com

No I don’t but I’m going to start writing about it and hopefully start putting it up. No but I can definitely refer to a few writers who do.

Thank you so much and yes I think I have.

Haha, thank you so much for your insane courage Burnett. I hope you continue reading it. Have an amazing week 🙂
