From a sunny day when I finally left the house feeling cute. 😊🤸🏿‍♀️
I'm really enjoying pastels lately. If you watched my stories earlier this week, you saw my new pleated skirt in mint green. This is a color I'm slowly incorporating into my wardrobe.
Red is quite an intimidating color. It boldy takes up space on your behalf. I don't where red often but I'm getting a little more comfortable with allowing myself to be seen and occupy space, even and sometimes especially, when it is uncomfortable.
I like to have my nails manicured. A mani/ pedi, as I like to call it, has moved up my list of most enjoyable indulgent activities. Now that I mostly maintain my own hair, the feeling of my hair being washed and massaged at the sink is now infrequent.
Took these beautiful pictures earlier this week as part of @sharonmalonza & I's attempts to learn how to self shoot. The rest of the pictures from this littu session are up on my blog, bloomingbutterfly.me (🔗 in bio), together with some of my thoughts about rest and how I plan to take better care of myself this year.
Nothing intentional about this picture but I love it. I suspect it's largely because I was freshly excited about my cut.
